Hoping For Change
(Wow. I can't believe it's been over a month since I posted anything here.)
The other day at work, someone was asking me if I had change for a $5. Reminded me of an incident down at Robins AFB shortly after I had started there. Some poor little airman came up to me and asked "Uh, Sgt Jahn, do you have change for a five?" With a bit of a laugh, I said "Man, a five is change!" He laughed, too, so it was OK.
(And you thought this was gonna be about politics.... Ü)

I had a Capt. in the HPD call me off patrol and wanted me to drive over to the local newspaper where I was supposed to pick him up a free copy, something he could do himself. He assumed I knew he wanted a free paper and I knew this. Instead I went downstairs, put a quarter in the box and got a paper for him. I then told him he owned me a quarter. We got along great; he never expected me to be a "gofer" after that.
Yes, I am tired of talking politics too....
